Keeping it and doing work on it would definitely keep you busy with something to look forward to. I would check up on the law though, or you might be done for being in control of a motor vehicle whilst disqualified, just for putting the keys in the ignition/sitting in it/starting it up now and again on your own driveway or in the garage!
