Re the Seats

Thanks! They were supposed to be black cloth and white leather, but when i painted the door cards they looked cream, so i had to re-spray the leather. NOT THE EASIEST TASK! Have you ever tried to mask a car seat? Any overspray would ruin the black cloth. I was up until 4am in the garage. Difficult keeping the whole project a secret..... Im sure my wife thinks im having an affair!!!!!!!!!!

Does it really matter that much ?, as long as you get it done on time for you missus then its all good.

Looking through the 1st 2 pages of cars and projects you have started 5 threads regarding the same topic, so if you add there views up its nearly 500 so thats not 2 bad.

Maybe just keep it to 1 thread and maybe make the pictures bigger as people like pictures

dont worry about the hits mate…i never even posted my present for the g/f when i restored her beetle.

I have a burning question though…is your wife worth a new set of wheels or is is stock for her??? i only ask as mine wasnt happy with the standard steels….selfish (insert naughty word here) ,lol.

The wheels

She wants the car to remain completely stock, i would put a set of 17" BBS on but she said no.  :dontknow:

doing well mate, although your pushing for time now,
i look a little ahead of you although ive gota refit the tt trim and t&t her yet!

just a pointer, your better of carrying on your build in the same thread you started originaly, by posting reply on the orginal.
and make your pictures bigger, click on one of your small pics and that will link you to a bigger one with a different url. use that size.

keep it up the work not long nw!!!!!!!

Free interior!

Hi people. Just got in  from the garage. No pics today battery on camera ran out! Bertie is looking brilliant and am pretty sure will be ready for The 25th!

If you have been following this thread you will know that i have replaced the interior, as a result the original white cabby interior and carpets are spare. as a gesture of goodwill at this festive time, if any club member would like it , come and collect it! I could put it on Ebay but thought it would be nice to give it to a club member.

I will put pics on tommorrow. but its very late and ive been working on Bertie all Day/Evening/Night. need sleep!!!!!! :D

Hi Guys and Girls. Just a few pics of todays work, The bodykit is finally finished being painted and will be fitted on monday. The wiring for the stereo speakers and amps fitted, sound proofing and carpets fitted. realised after three hours work that we had neglected to fit the main power cable from the battery to the amps. 8O  Much swearing occured :banghead:
All carpets and soundproofing removed by me whilst the rest of the guys went for a Sunday lunch pint or two. (In some cases 5 or 6. you know who you are!)
All cables re-done and carpets re-fitted
Time is getting so short now, really not sure if Bertie will be ready for the Big Day!!!!! :dontknow:
Let me know what you think so far!
