Correct. The car was also left for dead when the current owner saved it from the scrapper. The VIN is so early…or nonexistant that VW didn't recognize it..guess it was a preproduction car but still road legal. I had some pics saved and I'll try and find them. Many, many one-off parts..even different than the "SwallowTail".

That car is not only a work of art but also a piece of history.

I'd love to get a real close look at all the prototype switchgear, etc…

I love all of that, I bet alot of it is Beetle.  Oh, give me afew hours with that car, someone, please…
