cool ill have a look over it tonite mate! yeah wen i first brought it i thought i had quite a good shell, apart from the odd bit of rust here and there, because the owner before fully stripped it down before! But why bother stripping it down and going through all the hard work if he wasnt going to repair it properly i dont get!
I cant wait till its done just need to save up money, for the front end now tho! As my passat needs its mot+service next month so that will need sorting first!

Quick update before my week end to wales!
Got both drive shafts out and the manifold! So engine will be out next week so i can asses the wings better and tidy up the bay a bit, then ill get the front panel back on, and hunt for my mk3 gti engine!

Yeah there is a special drill bit its got a point in the middle and two out edge bits. look on any tool website or even check ebay. i did have one lying about somewhere ill see if i can get a pic for you

nah mate no messing, i got the engine out today on my own then my mates turned up and helped me lift it in to the back garden!
So ill start with getting rid of the crap repairs in the front inner wings!
Ill post a few pics tomorow!
