Light problem

Mullett - this is all a bit confusing, especially with the background.  Can we have a bit more of the basic history?

1. Have you ever had the dipped beam working on this car?
2. If so, what happened/changed before they stopped working?
3. Is this car standard - e.g. is it a twin headlight (i.e. four in total) setup?

Ye dipped beam worked fine before

They just decided to stop working

Its a single lamp grill, so just two lights at the front

I have same original problem. Side lights work, dipped beam work, and full beam work, flash works BUT when you go from dipped to to full and back to dipped only right hand dipped is on???
God knows why?

I think so. I had this problem with another golf. The garage just ran a feed from one light to other.

I'd take a guess at the headlamp switch, once you rule out, fuses, bulbs and earths.
