finally got some more done today….courtesy of Paul Weeding :)

Paul came down the M6 to weld me in my new rear arch..and a top job he did too.

so I can now get a groove on with the rest of the body work now :D






and thanks for the Primer Chris (Chris Rivage) and nice Caddy  8)

From the pictures it looks like you have just sanded back to bare metal.  High quality weld.

dude the project looks sweet, i have been rebuilding my cabrio for the last two years, i noticed that you have used t pieces for the brakes, i did the same upgrade put just plumbed them straight in to the master cylinder, is that not the correct thing to do then.

my master cylinder is from a 16v mk2 golf and as such is only a two output master cylinder (unlike the one i took off which was 4)

so, in order to keep the braking system working t pieces are used to connect the diaganols

ive now invested in a 16v engine and box  :D

just need to get it home to start the conversion :dontknow:

?310 for the lot…inc all ancillaries, full loom, loads of other bits

as for picking up? dunno yet…need to arrange a courier on pallet cos i cant bloody drive

started stripping the engine down today so it can be cleaned etc
removed the subframe and mounts, FI system etc..makes it easier to get around lol





cant get the last bolt of the exhaust manifold off…..grrrrrrrrrr its pissing rounded….will have another go tomorrow

and looks like the starter motor has taken a bashing so ill need to replace that too
