My 83 Mars red Gti AHN 502Y

Hi again     Managed to get a look under the car today and ive found 2 areas that are going to need attention





I have no experience of welding etc so question is can any of you guys with experience in this area tell me how big a job this would be to fix?

The rest of it doesnt look too bad, more pics

Ok a little bit more progress, nothing amazing

Pulled all of the air hoses from above the rocker cover and cleaned all the hoses out and renewed the hose clips





Major accident with the top hose clip on the rad, managed to snap the pipe sticking out of the rad clean off - eg new radiator  :roll:

Nevermind, was intending to replace it anyway, just not yet  ops:




Tried to get some Hammerite from Halfords to do the rocker cover, cambelt cover and fan shroud but not 1 person in the store could figure out how to process a cheque - idiots!

Ripped all of the hoses out for a clean and will figure out the next step in the morning !
