The Impulse Purchase (Slow Progress Content)

2 things nick, if there the eBay flags they will fold in around 60 mph, also those topmounts won't last 6 months with coils, only ever fit febi ones.

the top mounts came with the coilovers - i'll source some new ones at a later date in the mean time:

AGU with powder coated parts, loom, ECU, Intercooler, Forge dump valve, Cone air filter For Sale now

change of plan with the engine to this:

Bored out to 2.1 ABF block  (it's not staying blue)
2E conrods turned up today and sourced a worked head through J-Tech
Next it's ordering pistons and the throttle bodies

Just got my parts back from the coaters and so damn happy with the color and the finish
It's not gonna to everyone's taste and unfortunately the pics aren't that great but you get the idea

Here's a couple of tasters
Newly coated Rocker Cover

All new steering rack built up. Thinking of painting it black though and the gear linkage bracket is being cut off and smoothed

And a small selection of some of the bits

The ABF block, KR head, 2E Conrods, ABF loom and ECU are now up sale if anyone is interested

haha fancied something a lil bit different.

it is just a bare block and started collecting parts to build. Been trying to source a wrecked KR but now because i'm sticking with the 1.8T i thought i'd just move it on

Not alot has been happening with this recently but managed to get a couple of bits done today.

Trial fitted the new wheels:

Front fitment

And a shot of both fitted

Arches are going to need some extending.
Also got a few bits down with the interior. Removed the dash and stripped the dash loom ready for the new blade fuse setup

My series 1 dash is shot to bits, but hopefully managed to source a replacement S1 just need to pick it up.

This is going ABF now N/A and selling on the AGU

Lots more parts stripped and now up for sale.
Also ordered up parts, such as, new gaskets etc for when the engine goes back together. Just need to strip down and paint.

It's slowly getting there for a dry fit of the engine etc

Few more bits arrived and another load has been ordered..

Here goes.
Hydro clutch conversion parts have arrived.
Planning on using the current pedal box and welding an attachment to push instead of pull

Still need to remove the driveshafts, exhaust, fuel and brake lines but it's getting there

and figuring out the best action to take with it

Then as it was getting late i thought i'd clean up the fuel rail and offer it up to the powder coated inlet

Apologies for the poor pictures, only had the iPhone at the time
Can't wait for the next delivery of parts and a lil more progress
