yeah Esh (eshelby), he's a good guy, been mate's with him since school, and we were each other's best man, yeah he's right into his fords, but he probably won't tell ya that it was v.w's when he was 13-15. he now has a v'w bay window camper, did you used to have a mk3 derv? anyway hopefully i'll get back on track soon.  :banghead:

Yeah you could strip the old paint off and do as much prep work as you are comfortable with, tho you don't want to try too much, as if It's not quite right, then the bodyshop will have to redo it. Maybe speak with whoever you are thinking of getting the car sprayed by, and ask them what prep work you can do to make the job cheaper and easier for the bodyshop.

Pete.

here is an update on the 79' it is still in the garage and waiting to be blasted, so that spectrum can work his magic. after the dissapointing result with the last sprayer, i needed to take a step back and take a bit of time out. i still have the same ideas on the car and will be going ahead soon as.

I know the guy that painted the silver golf…..his painting is very good in fact some of his work can be seen on this website http://www.dropshots.com/lambretta the yellow and white lambretta in the snow started off as the plum coloured one on the bench,,,,the 2 fiat 500s were ground up restorations done by him.they were wrecks when bought in italy….

Cant be that good…

If he was this wouldn't have happened…
