only 2 weeks now then the car is off the road for the winter.time to get the seats out and floor do all the work on the doors new locks handles and catches.new to get all the bits first.moted now and not 1 thing was said straight through good little car.will up new photos as and when i do bits :wink:

well over the festive sesson i am going to be doing a lot of work to it as i got my other car all fixed so hopefully ealy in the new year

work on projeck shrek is a bit slow at the mo as this crap weather is stopping me from stripping her down so instead i am looking for a new set of wheels so may grt id of my p slots not sure yet or may swop if anyone is interested :dontknow:

work on shrek is back on track as i only have 12 weeks to get her ready for my wedding.just beed on ebay for a few parts but money is thine thanks to my wife to be spending it all on thing we need for the wedding   .some of the things i still need for getting her ready for the big day is chrome side strips top piece of chrome on the front grill rear arch spats head lights and a front gti chin. if anyone has thes to sell or that i can borrow just for the big day it would be fantastic if you could message me

done some work on shrek today got the dash out and knee bar.got them to work as the dash had a hole in it where the choke pushed through so had to repair that and both needed a respray.

next thing to do is try getting it all back in should be fun.

Doing well this week so far i have got the dash out fixed resprayed and its now backts  in not to easy on your own. So far parts that have arrived are the gaiters fag lighter chrome door handles just waiting for the lights and front spliter so hopefully this weekend all should be hear so i can get them all on. At this rate i should have it all done before the wedding. Will put phots up at the weekend.

Got some more done today got all the clocks and switches back in and working most of them never have workes.

My locks never worked so got nice chrome ones now i can lock it at night always a good thing.


Also got all the doors back together and all finished.

So all in all not a bad days start got to go down the post office this afternoon to go pick up some more packages so hopefully will have most of the parts to get it finished.

Things are starting to look bad the car is not going to be finished for the wedding as the engine is playing up badly so to solve this am going for an engine conversion. I think i am going to go for the G60 engine as i have found a company in cambridge that do it at a nice price and suply all the parts so will update more when things start to move along.

A bit of an update things are starting to move along a bit now with most of the things paid for the wedding. So this week i got started on the door cards retrim in leather.

Also this week had to get new front light and grill as some twonk at work decided to back there lorry in to my car witch was nice

Not to sure on the front grill i will have to wait and see if it grows on me.
The other week my other half took pitty on me and treated me to some rear spats and the side chrome strips.

Thats about it for the update when i have done a bit more will update again but i dont think that will be till after the wedding next saturday.  8)

Can any one help me need to find my paint code looked all round my car even in the boot but there is not a code anywhere.
does anyone know what it is?

can anyone help me please? i need a list of all parts for a 2l 16v abf conversion and the thread on how to do it as project shrek is on its last legs on this engine. so please if you can help reply many thanks adam      

lots of parts are hear for my conversion but need the mk2 tci does anyone know the number thats on it as there are so many and im not sure whitch one to order

Not sure on what parts you need, but thought i'd comment to show people are reading and taking an interest in your project.  Car looks to be coming along nicely now, shame about the engine problems.  I suppose it will be better in the long run anyway.  Keep up the good work.

got some of the parts now for the conversion now engine will be here soon along with other parts.but here is a photo from the werdding as me and the best man went in it .
