good work paul, i been working away loads recently and not got massive amounts done to mine, i'll get a few updates together and post them asap! you've come along loads! like the exhaust, did i read right it cost ?850? im hopefully ordering my coilovers in the next week or so,, but seeing my shell has now been in the body shop for 2 months, im not holding my breath on getting them fitted anytime soon!(good old mates rates with bodywork etc!.) anyway, keep going, and thanks for rad tip, i was gonna go the route of the rado 1 and fit it slightly on the angle, but i like that diesel 1 so gonna search it out! cheers! :D

I sprayed the new wing in primer using rattle cans but I was short of paint, this resulted in very thin application and even after just one day rust had started to appear through it. So, I have decided to 'move on' to proper spraying stuff. So, ?75 or so later from the local paint shop and I'd arrived with a box full of this:

It should be enough to spray the wing (both sides and the inner wing), and the tailgate and any other areas which need doing. This is the wing, sprayed in white primer previously, but with the rusty areas flatted back to metal:

One half of the kit, here mixing the primer and thinners:

The other bit:

your doing a grand job paul, so is it going to be ready for action then???

Cheers for the linky jamiegolf, I've already set up a "1st guess" map and mine is MS2 so it has a bigger table size I think? But those figures will definitely come in handy!

No chance ready for action, I wouldn't even risk it there anyway. There's still a fair amount to do, at least once the wing is on I can get back to installing mechanical stuff. But I want to make sure that everything is spot-on rather than simply fitting it, hence I'll be fitting new bolts, screws, etc all over the place. Also there's still a fair amount of bodywork to do, for example the front floor area, rear panel, tailgate, tidying up rust spots on the roof and doors, respraying the bonnet, etc. So its 'debut' will probably be next spring, after a winter's testing once up and running etc.
