I don't think its a requirement for the MOT to have screen demist now. I was only putting one in because i thought it was. Might not bother now because it wont be driven in rain let alone winter. Not sure if I should bother. But then again there are a few shows like Edition38 when its starting to get cold.
And i've got all the stuff to do it now. Might as well.

id fit it cos my jettas got no heating at the mo an is a right pain in the arse, an u never know if u mite get caught in rain somewhere!

i ddnt think u had to have a screen demister for mot. would make sense though. if u can get done for havin a dirty outside of ya screen an washers not workin then u can get sone for excessive mist on the inside i guess. ill double check with the mot testers at my garage!

Yeah will be a good idea I guess. Apparently it doesn't matter with an MOT but with a SVA it does. So its not applicable.

Thanks man! Lol I don't put that much technical stuff on here do I?
Most people like the pictures. Not really doing much to take pictures of atm. Just wiring still. And pictures of wires over and over again arn't that interesting. Only need to lengthen the wiring for the wipers, lengthen the wiring for the washer bottle to put it in the boot, wire up the new fans, sort out the lights, and make the rpm gauge work. Oh and I need to put a plug on the throttle position sensor. But parts for motorbikes are hard to get. Guy in the Suzuki garage wanted me to buy an entire loom. lol. NO. Its just bodged on at the moment.

Just bought myself some high flow Computer fans for each of my air vents. Highest I could find! lol. Think they are for a server rack. (Exciting)

http://search.digikey.com/uk/en/products/PFB0612UHE-F00/603-1450-ND/2560574

Will just fit them on the back of the vents and have them switched with a micro switch and keep the fan speed adjustment on the original switch.

Got the fans today. Made one of the ducts. Cut up the normal mk1 ones to make them and plastic welded them together. Came out quite good. Can i tested the fans. They are really good! Might put another resistor on the slow fan speed setting because it still goes quit fast on the slow setting.

And I decided I do want a radio in the mk1 so I need a antenna. I hope it will work under the wing.

Close to finishing the wiring I think. Just need to find the wire for the handbrake warning light, Wire in the VDO gauges when I receive them, the stereo wiring, the new ventilation, and extend the wiring for the front wipers up under the dash.

Mounted one of the micro switches on the air vent. Works perfect. Would of done the other one but there isn't enough friction in the rotating part of the air vent to keep the micro switch pressed. So need a new one.

Chucked the dash in to see how long I need to make the wires for the stereo, vent fans and the vdo dials.

Got my new dials but the volt gauge doesn't match the oil temp and pressure gauges. The oil ones light up red and the number light up from the back. But the volt one is a white light and it just lit from the top. But is something i can buy once I do the final fit. Although its on my mind now and its annoying me a lot. lol.

These pictures are terrible. I only had my phone!

Parts!

Bought a GSXR wiring loom quite cheap off ebay.

Just to chop this plug off for the Throttle position sensor! Nobody would just sell me the plug. I think this is the right plug anyway.

And my new non mfa stalks and clocks. Might take them apart and swap over the speedometer to keep the mileage correct. Well what i assume is correct. they are the clocks i got with the car but in a box.

I like looking at this stuff anyway lol. SO thanks for the site. I only paid £10 for the loom so wasn't that bad. But i'm not sure its the right connector anyway. lol. I look the sensor into my local electronics specialist and we looked at loads of those connectors on that link and none fitted. I think its some random suzuki plug that they made. because it plugs right onto the sensor.
