Im hopeing for a clean sheet on the mot as pretty much everything is new.. also im moving to sydney in 8 weeks so i really dont want to spend anymore money on it, just going to use it for a month and then stick it up for sale

Take it with you mate,the aussies have a distinct lack of cool mk1s. Theres a right decent vw mob down there as well,ill try and find you the main vw site if you want(its on my home pc and im at the gf's just now)

haha i would love to take it with me!!! but it needs to be sold as im going to buy some sort of campervan, so i can travel at weekends..

i will get another mk1 at some point when im settled in and have a garage.. If you could mate it would be handy to keep involved in the mk1 world

Get it shipped out there mate and then buy a camper van out there

Would be cool to keep it alive in Australia. Not so much rust as well.

How much would it cost do you reckon to ship it out there in a container? It's gotta be worth it in the long run.

Haha I would hate to think how much that would cost!! It has to be at least a grand.. A big mistake I have made is even though I have owned this car for 18months I have only just applied for a log book and to import a car into oz you have to have owned it for at least a year  

Also I'm moving to Sydney and it's seriously expensive!! So the cash is needed, I'm only renting a room in my mates house while I wait for the other half to fly over and that's costing me $400 a week!!!!

It's has a mot!!

They failed it on insecure lock nuts on the track rods, I may have forgotten to put split pins through them.. Also no rear fog which actually worked but the switch was a little confusing for the mot tester..

Also got an advisory for having non standard suspension fitted????

It drives amazingly!! But it will soon be up for sale

Is it advertised on here? Pistonheads is a popular place. Failing that mate it's Autotrade,eBay or classic car ad.

I haven't advertised it anywhere yet, I want to run it for a few days and make sure everything is okay, but I will put it on here also pistonheads and gumtree, if it doesn't  sell I will have to put it on ebay…
