right then got this off ebay a few weeks back as a spares or repairs project

cost me ?71.20 to buy  
?75 to be deliverd

did a bit of stripping down over the weekend and it now looks like this







very solid car only rust is in the spare wheel well

went out to a local scrap yard today and found another cabrio with almost everything i need to finish mine (full interior, and small bit and bobs)
for ?200 so ive left a ?50 deposit and will have that home in a few weeks time

im really looking forward to driving a golf  8)

no its out of a seat ibiza but not for the golf anyway
for dads polo but was the only place we had to put them at the time

yep thats me

bug is currently off the road for lowering and bigger engine

mums bus is getting there slowly almost all the welding is done then its time for bodywork  :roll:

normally theres a meet in norwich but do go much anymore

occasinally theres a east coast dub club meet at the range car park in norwich

closer to you i know theres the suffolk buggers meet at needham lake

will have to get myself along to a few meets soonish

well passed august 07
since then ive got a beach buggy project
now driving a mk3 polo daily and the golf

and of course the bug

need to reduce my cars i think  

will be keeping the golf and bug

buggy im unsure as yet but the polo will be going as soon as i have another car to use  8)

Bargain. I've been looking for an interior for yonks.
Is yours a carb model?
I just got mine running again. I had to replace pierburg carb. It's worth doing.

yer really pleased with the donor car interior looks dirty but has no rips from what i can see
so a good clean sould sort em

mines a carb model also
been looking at weber replacements but also been looking a injection as a possibility  8)

right then got my donor car today and started stripping it down
will add some pics tommorrow but id say ive done a good days work
all the interior out door cards dash and knee bar
heater out rear carpet out just gotta try get the front carpet out tommorrow
may possibly drop the engine and box out tommorrow or sunday
so be ready soon for a list of parts for sale which i dont need

more updates soon  8)

well the donor car is stripped completly
now have spare hood in black complete with hood frame
knee bar
dash
drivers door
passenger door with some rust

will add to for sale section soon  8)

there is one good thing about pulling your doner car to bits. you've now learnt by your mistakes and wont be making any on your own car.

btw, whats the rear arches like on the donar car? i need some.

urm drier side is ok passenger side is shot
front inner wings are solid tho
and i noticed on your thread your driver side is rusty  8)

how much of it do you want ?
