heres my mk1   , baught my golf last september, since then shes broken down several times! despite this i still love her! ive replaced battery, coilpack, much of the engine wiring, air intake pipe, wish bone…….it snapped when taking a corner, luckilly at about 5mph so not much damage! cambelt, alternater belt, gasket seal,  stainless steel cambelt cover in mars re to match rocker cover and fan cover, new rear copper brake lines. ive resprayed grille and vw badge gloss black with mars red bordar, wheels have been silver, and now cream along with pin stripes. rear wiper, sprayer and motor gone, 8 ball gear knob, yellow french h4 bulbs, sport rear silencer stainless steel, have got alluminium sheeting to make belly pan so i can wind coilies all the way, n possibly spacers out, i have got 32mm wider spacers for rear, wolfsburg number plate surrounds, heated number plates and re moulded so they are straight! wolfsburg front stcker and back to the old school, rear stiickers are i love my vw and scrappage scheme survivor, new bigger discs ready to go on, fusion i pod head unit now in, also bose components in front with tweeter,stopped sun roof from leaking! heat gunned the side mirrors so they are a deep black again, gti chin spiler, red carpeted mats.has been machine polished and waxed. front indicators are now clear lenses, new polish in three stages just arived! high grit compound, medium polish and mirror finnish to be followed by gloss film and wax. and to finish her off rear arches getting smoothed and resprayed with vw rear half covers ! hope you like the progress

forgot to add, shes been converted to a mk3 polo gt engine, fitted with high lift cams, mk2 golf adjustable air intake and scirocco gt seats

i like its different. any plans while using it?

 just want it looking as fresh as it can so once arches are sprayeyed, full body polish will be done!

restoration week has begun! sparks getting changed tommorow, weds the car is getting its alternater and cam belt cover fitted friday oil and filter change. today has started with right arch sanded down prepping for primer, if only there was a quick way of doing it  :

and the cambelt cover i bought off kikapu chris is now all sanded and sprayed mars red


and this should be fitted along with the cover on wednesday

didnt get bogged down, but did have to be bumped off, damn alternater and spark plugs!

i didnt know why, but i know this car...anyway, good luck with ur build mate.

i dont live no where near…….maybe im getting confuse….its the last letters HCP…

well car seems to have a new life! drives much better now since dizzy cap was cleaned, spark plugs changed, alternater changed, oil and filter. not to mention my mind is at ease now theres a cambelt cover! one arch is done with cover on and the other side,…… well not so done but feel like its all finally coming together!
