My Cabrio...just finished...almost "more pic p.2"

hello everyone

My name is Anna and I'm from Iceland

I just "finished" my Cabrio ( only thing I have left is the waist trim)

This Cabrio is one of 4 here in the Iceland

I just wanted to post a pic of my litle boy before I bought him and how he's right now and one of me

This is a 1985 VW Golf Mk1 1800GTi Cabriolet Karmann Wolfsburg edition

Well Well I have decided to add more pic to this thread from the restro

As you all know I bought him really dented



For my luck me and my bf and his friends, started to rent a garage…b.t.w on the day I bought the car ****sooooo lucky****
he was the first car to get in there As soon he arrived on the tow truck I started to strip him down to see the damage.






here is one of the wheels…!!!


here are the wishbones,  I coun't belive my eyes they are soooo bent up!!



here is the old ones and one of the new


I bought 2 new outer tire rods, here is the new with the old



here is the front right axle, really bented so I had to fix it, sence buying new costed more than fixing the old one.


I bought coilovers from hottuning…they are very stiff and I like it


okey now it's time to move the car to my work…I work at a Toyota auto body repair shop…kinda funny…I hate Toyotas

Then I started fixing some dents, as you can see the car was originally very gay blue, then it had a bad accident in Germany, there the color was changed to purple…another very stupid color



I had to take the front panel off, because of rot and dents… the front panel had a 7mm spatsel on …also the hood


sorry for the blur pic I took it on my phone. Here is the front panel on..and I'm finishing welding it together, my coworker thought it was very funny to paint on it when I went to have something to eat!!!

Nice pics love the colour. I'm just in the process of makeing my door cards which is great fun at the mo. Great work on the car looks very clean
