Must be good to be near the end of welding. I hope you don't uncover the need for more though when you remove the underseal

Thanks guys, got another 3 small bit of welding done today, not pics tho. Back to work tomorrow so I wont have much time to work on it again, welding is almost done anyway

So much easier with the engine out of the car. I changed one on a Corrado yesterday and every nut and bolt was a fight - took half a day in the end!!

Yeah I know what you mean, had the same problem with my mates mk2 8v GTI at the start of the month, half day to fit timing belt and a new camshaft

Yeah it good to get new parts going back on, I had to work quick with the painting, as I dont normally get to work on the car at weekend, go to make the most of it

Hi mate… I'm soon to be carrying out the same engine conversion on my mk1… I'm going to be fitting g60 brakes, would I be able to use the drive shafts from the donner car or the existing ones from my mk1?

Sam gti I am currently in the middle of this conversion I used my mk1 gti shafts I am trying to keep it as straight forward as I can good luck bud.
