Must say the square lines felt so retro 

Are you going to get covers for you wheels? I think they look smart. I bought some from Mark as I have removed my RM's for the winter and got the passat winters on.



 

Yeah I have the wheel centre covers just haven't fitted them yet

Ah cool, I haven't fitted them properly yet. I tried to fit them after the wheel bolts had been tightened but then found out you need to put the covers on and then put the bolts in

Last night I got the chin spoiler fitted, although i have a larger duckbill pattern one which i may fit. I have offered it up but it will require quite a bit of fettling to get it to fit! I also fitted my ambers, a 'must have'  

Anyway a couple of pics.

Last weekend i made up a board to lay in the rear of the car to tidy it up. I made it from fiberboard and glued black carpet to the topside and foam underlay on the underside. I also fitted the lower dash and fitted my alpine stereo.



Yesterday was Mot day and i am pleased to say she passed!!!!!!!
Another big milestone! 



So all that was left to do was fit the red grill trim and the bbs wheels, quick clean and i can now use her for my wedding car tomorrow as i'm getting married! I cut it fine but i am chuffed the golf will be there, hopefully it will make it into a few photos to…

Thanks  Pleased to say wedding day went very well and the little golf performed brilliantly! It even made it into a couple of photos but only a couple as don't think the photographer fully appreciated it.  Unfortunately only had one days honeymoon and back to work tomorrow  nevermind!

There's now 72 miles on the clock since rebuild and must say it feels great to be on the road in it. It's like a go kart! Only a couple of small jobs to see it finished so hopefully get them done in the week and concentrate on putting 1000 miles on the clock to get the engine run in!
