so today i pick this beast up, 1983 mk1 golf 50,000 miles on the clock. swapped for my bora. some people might think it was a stupid idea but i dont care

picked up some msw today so i did a test fit, only did the back as it started to rain
also gave the old girl a wash and while the wheels were off a cleaned under the arches

well once the new wheels are on i dont really have a plan. i think i may address some of the body work. there is nor rust on it but a few dents and dings so i might do something about that. and i need a new front splitted as mine was violently removed but a tree branch.

so im trying to keep the thread alive as i havent done much to it at all really.

Steering wheel looks lovely and soft. What sort of material is it? Alcantara?

the wheel is lush it sits a bit closer so is more comfy to hold, its suede lots of grip and nice and soft arches did need rolling on the front till today!
as i couldnt afford tires for the msw wheels this month and as beach meet is coming up i got 2 new tires for the ronals
