hi mate - awesome build - quick question - is the coating you used for the engine mounts and rocker cover etc a textured black powder coating or a paint? wanting a similar finish on my wheel centres.

hiya mate its paint made by VHT
few more parts collected today
another self sealing hose joint to help with the mounting of the forge 007p
a new high powered 11' fan that i will be mounting in oe housing
both available from www.revotec.com.
a 3' silicon joiner for mounting the air filter
with the air filter mocked on (not in final position)

so spent a few hours making the rear gearbox mount
this is the finished gearbox half of it using a polybush
then i finished off the welding on the body half of it, just needs a lick of paint now 8)
the mount is hidden under the gearbox for a cleaner look and should help with reducing engine movement

also got the dv mounted almost straight out the turbo back in 8)

just thought i'd let you know a mate of mine with a mk3 golf conversion i made an AUM loom for plugged the ecu diagnostics wire direct to his vag-com port and it worked

i have the fuel lines, down pipe, drive shafts to fit, finish making the interior loom, now waiting for matching silicone top and bottom rad hose in black 8)
then when its all up and running ill flash the custom map onto it :wink:
then loads of other little bits to finish

new fuel pump, lines, hardware, wiring and a stainless steel crazyquiff bracket
new braided line to the fuel rail with earl hose ends and ally separators and mounted to the cambelt cover (black cable ties will be replaced soon)
new VAG oil filler cap
and a over look of the bay at the end of tonight

lil update
I got my crazyquiff/longlife down pipe. I made a few tweaks to it so i was happy then I wrapped it sealed it and fitted the wideband lambda

Still looks as good as ever James, Are CQ selling these? Why is it "longlife" as you say? Also have you fitted any sort of fuel filter?

cheers mate yeah they are selling them they are built by longlife custom exhaust company for cq, i have fitted a fuel filter up in the scuttle 8)
had part one of 2 packages turn up today :wink:

haha oh :redfaced: didn't realise that was the companies name! I was wondering why the lines went up into the scuttle.
