only the second time i've ever welded, don't think it's that bad.

Something along the lines of a 150A welder which takes the large gas bottles - you don't want to be messing about with small refills from Halfords or similar.

Sealey do one for around ?250ish which I've used before and found to be excellent.

looks can be deciving..!!!

Great patchwork on your floor pan, it looks miles better now.  It's a job I should really undertake on mine soon, but am fearful of what i'll find under the carpet.  :oops:

been a bit slow due to the snow!!!!!

manage to do a few bits tho.



need some new ones of these but seems that they are no long around. the heads were round instead of hexagonal

so handed the job over to my grandad who is a engineering legend.

he fire up his lathe and now they look like this…!!!! perfect



also got the hub apart using a gear puller and large vice, cleaned and painted it all up

got a new bearing kit from GSF and slid into place using he vice



put the newly painted disc cover on





put it all back on after cleaning the suspension



thats it for now!!!!

off down gsf tomorrow get new disc, pads. thinking about some goodridge flexi pipes to finish the job off!!

don't really know anything. just i'll try anything once and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't

i reakon slow but steady wins the race.

take your time and anything is possible

done a bit today to say it's valentines day,,, good job the girlfriend is bogged down with uni work give me lots of time for the golf :D  :D

all the item in the boot that i have gathered this week



finishing off the front, but i got this far and hit a hurdle



this is my hurdle, went to bleed to the brakes and then the worst thing happen. i snapped the bleed nipple. not a happy man :banghead:  :banghead:
tryed a few things to get it out but not having any look. any ideas???



so i put this to one side to finish off the welding on the drivers side.
cleaned it up to inspect the problem



got alot of it cut out



i have also welded the new bit in but forgot to take the photo, have to wait till tomorrow.

more progress tomorrow hopefully

You could save time fitting, removing, then refitting other pads, by chucking those EBC Green Stuff ones straight into the bin.
