Jimbo's Mk1 Golf 1.8t

Not sure yet, i'm a bit short on cash, and probably won't be on the road until next summer (that's if i keep it whole), as I'm being deployed 3 months in Oman and 3 months here for over a year as of September. And i really want a mk1 caddy (sorry!), so I might start selling all the non transferable parts and the shell…. 😕
But I'll definitely be keeping the engine!!
Not sure how much a shell in this nic is worth though- £500?
hmmmm decisions decisions!

Haha It's one of the reasons I bought it in the first place, for the engine to go in a mk1 caddy :)

so i thought i'd starting removing the engine;



all wires and pipes disconnected from the engine;


just the gear linkages and clutch to remove….

also, any reason why there's oil in the turbo air feeds?




missed working into the dark ;)

Think its quite normal to get some oil in the cooler pipes. Oil catch can cures it. I vote keep it whole :thumbs:

Ahh ok. Cheers ;)

Engines now out-





And took about 3 hours to the agu loom out!



And trimmed it down too. Not wanted loom-

With the help of this ;)

Also took all the harness tape and shizzle off-
