Had a bit of a scare earlier today, driving along, a little stone hit the windscreen, didn't think much of it, mile or two down the road, POP and the windscreens shatters!!



Rang the rac to recover us, but they don't cover windscreens?!!?!
So we tapped it all out into bags etc:

And had to travel about 10 miles while it was raining too haha was an experience to say the least…

Also fitted some 'stick on' chrome trim…

What do people think with the red girl trim and ill get round to do the lower side trim too?

Bought some red tint film off ebay for the rear lights:

Love the grill Jimbo. Not sure about the lights though. How much will a new windscreen set you back mate?

So got round to fitting the new windscreen earlier-
Cleaned up the window lip, etched it and put this stuff on it;

Now then shippers, I was based there in the 80s and 90s! Remember that garage very well! Miss the place and people, some good mates still there!

It's an awesome garage! What branch were you??

Wafu on 706, 814 and 820, plus radio workshops! Old wl trade, one of the first ae trade! Most of my mates are chiefs and wo! My old chief Micky Lawless used to rally cars and hogged the garage, his lads are still there, plus one of the lads had a two door cortina, and put a 2.8 Capri engine into it! Shame I missed flora day too!!

Notice any difference??

I'm taking it home to make a pipe for the waste gate….
