Ha yeah, a bit easier then the old ones!
Last day until Easter on the golf today
Took out one of the shims from either side, but something still wasn't right:
So today removed the shims and lifted the coilovers a touch, and took all the paint off the mating parts.
Back together;
Still doesn't look right?!
Carpet and front seats back in;
Also noticed, with the new bigger front brake, the wheel poke!
Wing and bonnet back on
Just needs a horn switch sorting and front seats belts fitting and it'll be ready for an mot. Just can't afford until who knows when

Well it failed and it'd be a rush to get it sorted for tomorrow's MOT, so I won't be taking it back down to Cornwall with me When I'm back for a week at Easter ill get it on the road
Few pics;
seatbelts fitted;
Also covered some holes with military BDR tape
List of fails;
i cant believe the seats one is a fail though?!!
And I thought as I wasn't taking the golf back with me I may as well take some bits to clean up back down with me…
taking the coilovers and callipers for clean and paint…
how it'll sit for a few weeks

There only small patches. It's because its within a certain distance (like 10 inches?!) of the ream beam. Will only take a few hours to cut out and replace. It's the steering arm drum stick (which I just the track rod end isn't it?!) that's the pain, as GSF didn't have them in stock when I rang up earlier…
