Thanks for the comments.

Supreme thanks to my mum for repairing the seat covers with her sewing machine.

Here they are fitted…

Really impressed with how they've turned out.

Looking good mate for  30 year old seats your mum did a great job  did you manage to get the head rests with it in the end? And yes it should have a under dash tray on the passenger side people seem to nick them out of  cars before they sell them that was my experience anyway :(

Thanks for the comps.

I got the headrests however they're in black so I need to get them reupholstered when I get some spare change.

Crud, I had a feeling you'd say that about the dash shelf. Don't suppose you know any sneaky sellers with one?

Lovely car, you've don a nice job cleaning her up already, I so want an S1

Are those bumpers original? they look like S2 to me, I think it would look even better with a set of chrome small S1 bumpers.

Thanks for the comments. The bodywork is far from clean. Lot of holes and DIY repairs but gives him character.

All bodywork is original. The bumpers are pretty ragged so I'd like to invest in the small bumpers eventually.

I would never look back after owning an s1. Really chuffed with him.

'79 and '80 Series ones came with plastic bumpers as it was the cross over model.

If you ever want to sell those bumpers give me a shout! I'm looking for some. Cheers

Drove to GTi international in Jack and had my bro take some action shots. Drove like a dream. First long voyage. Perfect weather too.

Booked a day off work today to replace the water pump as it was squeaking like a lil fart bum. Ready for the AGM trip.

Also got my new wheels on but I thought I'd wait till the AGM to show them off ;)
