82 GTI LHASA GREEN TIN TOP, to be something mad!!

had a little free time last night so i polished a set of bbs bolts and got one of the wheels back together, taped either side of the basket to get a neat silicone bead..

to be sure its not leaking air, i had a tyre put on it

don't seem to be leaking.
and with a good bit of stretch…

only 90 bolts to polish and 3 wheels to re-assemble :banghead:

i had good genuine fronts which i bought on ebay, and bought a set of after market arches from ebay, they are all coarse grain and in good condition. and a very good fit and match to the genuine items. i will keep these until i find some genuine rears.

hi , i looked again today and the only one not marked to any extent is the front right .Both rears scrubbed and there is a dent in the front passenger side .They are genuine ones but i reckon the only way they could be sorted is trying some professional trim paint , but i dont know how that would be long term.Had a scuff on rear bumper on wife's mark 5 painted and was a great job.what condition are your spares?
