update….well the garage are starting to annoy me a bit now, they keep saying tomoro, tomoro, tomoro and yet again today they say tomoro, they said yday they would hope fully hav it running yday night and i would get it today and today they'v told me the heads ready to go on should be running tomoro?? i had to to try and bit my lip on the phone, if they tell me tomoro that the heads still not on or its not atleast running i think im guna hav to go down there and see exactly how far they've got with it and get a date it will be ready tyhat they can actually get it done, i wouldnt mind if it was another couple of days or so but they dont say that they just keep sayin tomorow and then lettin me down and i think im guna be gettin it back and im not…..

they gave me a "concrete qoute" as the put it of ?500 + vat, so will prob be looking around ?580ish give or take and i aint paying a penny more that was the quote and thats the price they will get :wink:

WOOHOOO!! she's runnin ready and coming home, collect her in bout half hour, machanic says she's runnin sweet now, cant wait to go get her      

i shall update everything she's had done when later after i'v taken her out for a drive of course and i have the invoice with all the work done :wink:

cool been out for a drive all seems well, bit nervous , worried somethings guna go wrong but thats just me bein paraniod, give it a week or two the reliability confidence will grow again

so here's a break down of what she's had done….

inlet manifold seal washer
flange-carb>maninfold
water flange seal x2
head weld & steam bath
head skim
oil filter
timing belt
timing belt tensioners
cylinder head gasket set
cylinder head gasket
valve stem seals
timing cover
coolant
6hrs labour
duty of care charge ( wot ever that is?)

got 12mnths warranty on all the work carried out

all in a job well done, lots of things i should not hav to worry about for a long long time

cheers fella its nice to get compliments for hard efforts its a result of many hours de oxodising paint and polishing, i'v now got bingo wings the size of sylvester stalones thighs!!
the wheels came out better than i thought and the colour too good end result and very happy with them

well had her back a few days now and she's running well, she's nice and smooth, taking it easy for a bit she dont need running in but just wanna let all the new parts bed and settle in  

well all seems to be ok still, shes running well, going on holiday for a month in 4wks time so prob wont get stuck into anything else on her till i get back in the new yr
