need some help

Hi

this is my first post so go easy. I have a mk1 caddy 1988 and have just bought some pls wheels for it .the rear wheels fit fine but the fronts they won't fit due to the calipers. Now I have read that people have problems with fitting 13" wheels because of the carrier on the calliper. So my question is will my wheels fit if I use the mk1 gti carrier.

the wheels are staggered widths 7.5 and 8 x 13's
7.5's are et30
8's are et27
dont know if it matters but the tyres are 195/45/13 all around

yeah have a look at your caliper carriers, if they have the big hoop roudn the front then you have later type. if the wheels are hitting that then yes chances are fitting earlier mk1 1.5-1.8 carriers will solve your problem.

they arnt only on gtis most 1.5-1.8 have them just the really early models and some of the diesels have the smaller square type calipers which are no good for you
