I love these wheels. Has anyone put them on their golf?

Thank you very much, rubjonny.

Could you help me with the bore size too?

There a a few sites which give you the sizes if you do a googlesearch, but here is one

You can get spigot rigs on eBay to reduce size from Mk1 to fit these, quite cheap.

Mini bore is 56.1, and VW is 57.1.  so you only need to ream them out 0.5mm. spiggot rings wouldn't help either, as the mini bore is 1mm too small not too big :(

it would work though if the wheels were aftermarket and already had spiggots you could replace, I'd be pretty sure standard mini wheels wouldn't have them.

an alternative way to do it is if you have room get some hubcentric mini fitment spacers, and have the inner hole machined out to suit. could work out cheaper if you wanted a shop to do it anyway.

you'll also need wheel bolts as the VW ones are ball seating and mini/bmw are tapered. Mini and BMW wheel bolts are perfect as correct thread and 17mm bolt head just like VW :)

Thanks for putting me right , I have just bought a Cooper S and was thinking of bolting on a spare set of Golf wheels to stand it on whilst I refurbed the two piece wheels that it came with, but got it in my head the centre bores were the other way round! At least I know I can bolt the Golf wheels to it.

Interestingly I have just seen in a Mini mag that some 17inch BBS RA (not sure if replicas) have just come out to fit the BMW mini.

I did find an image through Google that showed these on a Mk2 Golf GTi & they looked great.

I wouldn't run them with 205/45. 17s look best with 185/35 on a mk1.
