I've had an annoying rattling from front passenger wheel, I've had it since i bought it from day one, I'm trying to get to the bottom of it now though. i took it into a garage and they said they could hear it but couldn't work out where it was coming from???!! its a tinny rattling and is worse when going over an uneven road surface. It seems when i brake it goes away? any ideas as its driving me nuts!
no pun intended

Have you checked for the anti rattle spring in the caliper?

It's a bit of spring steel that stops the pads from rattling in the caliper.
Whip the front wheels off and you should see it from the top of the caliper. If it's there and fitted correctly then it *shouldnt* perish/go wrong, but if whoever did the brake pads last forgot to put it back in you'll get an annoying rattle unless you brake (brake pads can float around and hit the caliper and disc until a clamping force is applied when you brake)
