Has anyone used Spax RSX?

Has anyone ever used them? Looks like a relatively decent price with adjustable damping but can't find many reviews!
Car came with Koni's (not coilovers) that have adjustable damping and really like the feature, but they are really rusty and need to go.
Are there any alternatives for a similar price anyone can recommend?Something like KW v2s are far too out of my price range, and these RSX's are still pushing it a bit but willing to spend the extra to gain a softer ride on the roads.

OR any coilies that have a particularly nice ride that anyone can suggest, I have had a look at old posts but can't come to a conclusion!
Won't be completely slamming the car so there will be suspension travel left before anyone asks!

Thanks

I had Spax RSX coil overs fitted to my Corrado VR6 in the late 90's (you did ask "Has anyone ever used them?"), they were recommended and fitted by Stealth Racing in Southam and were good value at the time when compared with Koni's coil over offering.

They were fully adjustable, were comfortable enough for every day use when on the soft setting, and hard when adjusted the opposite way.

BUT, the RSX's leaked oil within the warranty period!!!

Spax at the time wouldn't honour warranty claims, as allegedly the company was in financial difficulty and were in the middle of a management buy out.  Apparently the new company was later able to manufacture suspension products and trade using the same Spax name.

Stealth Racing had similar problems with the RSX's on many customers cars, they tried what they could but Spax wouldn't play ball.  Vince at Stealth did offer free labour to change the suspension - I wished I'd opted for the more expensive Koni's.

This was my experience at that time, and because of this I doubt I'd buy them again.  Having said that if after 15 years the new Spax have sorted out their manufacturing and operational issues and now have a robust product then they may be worth a look - always pays to do your research.

Hope this helps.

Exactly the sort of thing I wanted to hear thanks, I would hope by now they have sorted out their operating issues but it definitely looks and sounds like a solid product

Suspension is a key component that can really make a difference to a car, it's where I'd pay more for quality.

I know you said kw are out of your price range but I've got a set of k1's and I have been so impressed with them. I was the same didn't want to spend that much but so glad I did now. The comfort is really good are they are nice and easy to adjust plus they are stainless. Worth the extra in my opinion.
