Hi guys I've tried a search for this but can't really find anything. I've got a mk1 golf cabriolet in the garage that's getting restored, but it's got an aftermarket exhaust and the lad says it sits too high so he can fasten the gearstick (his words) he's asked my to look for a conversion kit, but I've read that the manifold may need extending, is this correct? Thanks in advance.

Difficult to say without seeing a pic or knowing the system to be honest.
If it's a system meant for the MK1 then there should be no issue so it could just be a case of minor adjustment?
