Correct spare wheel size

Post

Evening all.

Got a bit of a question regarding the spare (space saver) wheel, currently I’m running 185/60/14 wheels and tyres.
I’ve recently dug the spare out of the boot to replace an alloy on the car, I know the space saver wheel is supposed to be smaller in width but I thought the diameter should be very similar, currently the spare is a105/70/14.

Looking at a tyre comparison website, it appears the diameter of the spare is some 12.8% or 74mm smaller than the road wheels.

The car clearly leans a bit with the spare fitted, and I know it’s meant to be very temporary to get you to safety, but, does this sound right, a google search isn’t really clarifying it for me.

thanks for any info guys ;)

yep it sounds about right to me.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

I have an original 13" alloy as my spare, but it is a tin-top. Just hoping if I have a flat it's a rear as I can't get a 13 over my front calipers. Otherwise it will be a wheel rotation job!
