Have a word with Funkstar on the forum (Mark at Classic-VW.co.uk) he is one of our discount partners and I've always found him to be very helpful even with items not listed on his web site….just ask him, he'll have whatever you want somewhere !!
Anyway, I'm sure I saw a post from him very recently about sourcing good quality coilovers and at a decent price. Have a search or drop him a line.
Hope this helps

If you want to contact a member (within a post) as is the case in this example.
You put the "@" sign before the members name with no spaces, so in this case.
funk-star
It you only know the first letter or so a drop down list will appear.
Try it by replying to this post and typing @ followed by the letter "g".
What you will see is all the members names beginning with the letter (G or g), see if you can find me!
Got it!

If you only have £200-£300 to spend I would not go for coilovers unless you can double the amount you have to spend as they will make the car crashey and bouncy they are alright if you drive on smooth roads or just want something to drive to shows but if you want the car to handle well on allsorts of roads get some decent shocks and lowering springs. Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs are a good set up which lower the car by 40mm ish and it's still comfortable to drive and I recon that the will out handle the coilovers on a twisty B road…
If you do get some cheap coilover keep hold of your suspention just incase you do change back to springs and shocks.

^^ valid point, I sell more eibach/bilstein combos than I do coilovers.

I have no problem on my JOM coilies and I run stretched tyres @42psi so there's next to go added give from the tyres.
