Relocation petrol tank

Hi everyone just a mk1 golf gti shell. When it arrived it has the filler cap blanked off. Before i try to put it back to original i wondered if anyone has put the tank in the boot? if so can anyone show pictures of what it looks like.

I did see a thread recently about someone in the same situation as you, I think they ran the filler neck behind the rear light and into the tank that way. The light was mounted on a hinge that could be opened. It looked pretty cool to be honest and didn't involve cutting the shell.
