Hi! Saw this thread after posting in the BB k-jet-thread, so i posted it here aswell.I have googled my butt off trying to find an answer to this, but no luck.My problem is, i have recently taken my Golf out of the garage for the summer, but during the first, second and third testdrive i've noticed that it lacks power over 3000rpm's, it's like it is missing/lacking fuel or something. Does anybody here immediately know what to do, or could give me some advice on error-searching? before the winter showed up i changed the headgasket, could the camshaft be wrong? If so, shouldnt it run like a piece at all rpm's?/Andreas

What car do you have and what year is it?
If you've had the head off check the timing marks for the cam belt.

1988 Mk1 Golf GTi Cabriolet 1.8cc DX, K-jet. Daily drive. 317,000 miles and counting
1978 Mk1 Scirocco GLS 1.6cc FR, Webber carb. Weekend toy.

Nah, all of that is correct. I know that because i now saw that the wires for the automatic choke on the block were  corroded off. Quick fix with some cable-connectors and she runs like a charm all across the rev-limiter. Thanks alot anyways, ill be back with pics of the rest of the cables that's off and goes nowhere. I suck bad at reading electric schemes..

K-Jet doesn't have an "automatic choke on the block", I guess you mean the Warm Up Regulator? Even so, the wires missing would only make a difference during warm up, eventually conduction would mean it reached temperature and delivered the proper fuel pressure etc although it would take ages to do this.
