that looks to be a fuel pump relay bypass socket? this should push into the relay socket then theres a relay above the fusebox for the relay to fit into.

you shouldnt have the red and black to the same pin though…

as for rear wash/wipe this should be on its own fuse and relay above the fusebox so im pretty sure this isnt why the fuse is blowing.

the 11 fuse also powers the horn relay which is clipepd above the fusebox so thats worth a look

Mmmm interesting, could it be the case as my horn is not connected that why it keeps blowing ?

Where about is the fuel pump relay I had it started today, would it still start without these connected ?

Lol going to get to the bottom of this need the wash wipe at the front as for the mot but have come in doors now will have another look tomorrow thanks again john appreciate all your help, really do if you was here I would made you a cuppa and packet of my favourite milk chocolate digestives ( now that's some thing special lmao )

the fuel relay should either be on the fusebox, or in a socket clipped above the fusebox. its the one with a fuse in the front of it.

if this relay is nowhere to be found…. then this could be the real reason the 11 fuse keeps blowing

Right update to my mot nightmare,
The wipers work fine the horn works fine the vdo clocks are ok but as soon as I press the wash wipe it blows a fuse now, I have got a new wiper stalk, but as soon as I press wash/wipe pop goes the fuse for number 11, and I have got 16a ceramic fuse on there the brown wire from the wash pump however looks like it's connected to the indictors il take a picture and show you guys hope some light can be shined upon this as I want to get the mot done thanks

But soon as the number 11 fuse blows I get no horn no vdo gauges, no wipers no wash/wipe so I know my problem is with the wash wipe bit, I have seen the pump with direct connection with battery and it's fine

ok now unplug the front and rear wiper motors, and try again. if fuse still blows look at the wiring and horn relay. if not, look at the motors and spindles :)

Disconnected front and rear wiper started her up pressed the horn was al good soon as I pulled the stalk for wash and wipe it blew again,
Where do I look now, is there anyway to have its own connection, the stalk is new this looks a problem someone tried to hide  :ninja: as the clip that pulls the connectors was broken so I is thinking someone must if broken this off so I couldn't be activated and blew fuses mmmm interesting,
Lol but it's not going to get me my mot so need to sort it is there any way in getting around this, would it still be a horn relay because the horn still work so can this be ok and just for a guidence which one is the relay for wipers

oooh lovely preinsulated crimps and scotchlocks bodgery, just what you needed!  those are all parts of the lighting system so nowt to do with the wash/wipe system green/black oen is indicator and red/grey is sidelight just FYI.

look at that green wire, looks to be crimped to a brown then earthed to the slam panel? not ideal you want it tapped into one of the browns in the light loom on that side so it earths back to the battery properly.

i think now you'll have to get under the dash to check the stalk wiring, plus follow the wiper motor wirign front and back. a top suspect is the wiring to the rear motor where it runs thru the rubber boot between tailgate to body.  A quick way to bypass it is unplug the joining connection at the back of the car near the rear lights, look for a grey/black and green/black 2 pin plug, disconnect that to completely disable the rear wiper loom and bypass any possible wire damage in the tailgate

The green wire is connected to the side light lol I think someone has been at it, the connection block to the stalk has a pin that has come away from the block so I put it back but it's still giving me nothing, and keeps blowing, the rear wiper I disconnected it and put a feed from direct to battery to the wiper motor, ( the brown and black wire )but this didnt do nothing , am I doing this right ? The fuse only blows when the front wash/wipe is engaged the rear wash wipe is fine and can hear the wash / wipe motor turn but this still not activating rear wiper, really lost now, the wires under dash seem to be ok I have pressed them all I'm looked
For lose connections but nothing, any other suggestions, thanks again sorry to be a pain but just need to sort it

ok have a look at the wiring for the rear wiper motor in the rubber boot plus in the boot near the light as i say, make sure thats all good.

you should have ign live at the black/grey, earth at the brown then to get the wiper going you need a live pulse from the stalk/relay at the green/black. take care, the linkage may catch your fingers!!!

for the fuse blow you'll just have to dig into the wiring, happy fun fun :(

Lol I'm back, right it's sorted " but how" I hear you asking yourself , well I took off both stalks ( indicator and wiper and connected the wires to them used them and everything was working fine, then when I put it back it would blow again so I then placed insulation tape on the screw in point of the stalks to the ignition barel but once again it blew when the stalks were screwed in, so I then took of one of the brass pins that activate wash/wipe the one that is between the screw and barel and bingo it works horn/gauges ( was so excited so didnt wait for the temp to rise but I saw all of them move when I turned ignion on so chances are they are ok), and my wash wipe is working and not blowing no more I put in a 8amp as I ran out if 16amp but all seems well happy, but the rear wiper is slow and goes abit and stops so going to look in to that soon so strip and grease up, but as long as I got my front wash/wipe and horn it's good enough for the mot, thanks again john your a top man and thanks for having the patience to help me on this akward topic lol  :thumbs:really appriciate all your help thanks a million

The pin I removed was one of the brass pins on the wiper stalk, it was touching the ignition barrel and causing it to blow so now instead of both pins it's got one, but it still works front wipers and wash/wipe but the rear wiper doesn't just work on its own it has to be used with wash wipe to but this was like before infact it wasn't moving before now it's moving only with wash wipe, another question does the rear wiper just work normal (ie: clicks in to place and wipes after few seconds or does have to be done manually each time you want to wipe, not to bothered aslong
As my front is wash/wiping it will go through it's mot  thanks again john for all the help you have given appriciate it
