Windscreen wipers won't stop!

Post

Hey everyone this is my first post here and probably a pathetic one at that (don't even know if I'm posting this on the right place but hey!) Was driving the golf the other day in horrible rain, so obviously the windscreen wipers were putting in work! And since then won't stop! They go multiple speeds etc but wont turn completely off, still intermittent wiping! Atm I haven't had time to investigate it and am just taking the fuse out as a temporary solution but I can't carry on like that! So was wondering is this has happened to anyone before or if anyone has suggestions on a few things I could try to rectify the problem before I start taking things apart

I have a 1993 cabby, thank you!

I would look at the wiper stalk connections first and blow out all the dust and fluff which collects there. There is only 3 screws holding the cover on.

as above, plus get on the lookout for a mk3 gofl 99 wiper relay. if it doesnt fix it still not a waste o money as you will then have variable intermittent wipers :)

soudns liek an issue I had on my rear wiper which turned out to be the motor itself, i assuem a break inside o nthe park feed. mk2/3 gofl wiper motors are a great upgrade, though the plug is different so you need that off the donor. Mark does a full mk3 motor kit with conversion loom:
