What should this be plugged into?

Post

Took my dash out today to find a leak, and thought I'd tidy up my wiring at the same time.
One of the things I found was this 4 pin plug, over on the drivers side to the right of the clocks.
Where does it go? Can I remove it if it's redundant?

It's an 87 cab btw.
Cheers

looks aftermarket to me, can you take a pic of it at an angle though? trace it back and it'll probably run to an old alarm or immobiliser brain

That makes sense, probably from my old Clifford alarm then! I'd like to remove it just to tidy up the wiring as much as possible, so I'll have another look later and let you know if I find anything. Cheers! :)

rubjonny , just had a look, traced the wiring back to a brain which I've cut out now, the only wire still connected to anything was a ground which had been spliced badly into the earth of the heated rear window switch.. :(But nevertheless, your help lead to a whole heap of wiring going in the bin, so thanks very much! :)One other thing, up in right side of the passenger footwell, I found was this box, with 4 wires coming off it, one yellow, one blue, both had been cut, and 2 other wires which traced back to the stereo loom, one of them is red, and goes to the "memory" pin, and "12V power" pin, and the other is green and goes to the "power antenna" pin.
Can I also cut this box out? Or will it affect my stereo? I don't have a power antenna anymore, so not worried about that
Thanks so much for your help so far, appreciate it :)Here's the box

Just searched the number on the 'box' and found that it's the relay for the electric antenna, makes sense.
So I've cut it out, and now have no more wires that don't connect to anything!
Cheers for your help, just gotta get some loom tape and tidy it all up before the dash goes back together :)
