Hazard switch

Hi my indicators don't work on my mk1, I have been told it could be hazard switch was just wondering if it mattered if it was from a left hand drive car 

Check fuse 3. I had the same problem, changed the fuse and they worked

and fuse 19 if its later blade fusebox, plus check the black/blue wire hasn't fallen off the back of the hazard switch
