It's a 1.8 8v gti cabriolet 1985 b reg carb.
thanks
For your info…. If the car has a carburettor then it's not a GTi as all Gti's came with fuel injection, that what the "i" means in the name. It could of had an engine change some time in its life or if it has a Gti badge on the back they could of been changed.
The best thing is add some details and the engine code in your signature then it's always on your posts like I have at the bottom of my posts.
1988 Mk1 Golf GTi Cabriolet 1.8cc DX, K-jet. Daily drive. 317,000 miles and counting
1978 Mk1 Scirocco GLS 1.6cc FR, Webber carb. Weekend toy.
