cut wire on isv

 alright guys just got mk1 out on road used couple of days and then it decieded to just die on me on the way home from work one day, however the electrics under to bay ain't the best, but iv never seen what Iv spotted before , it looks like someone has put a new live to the isv , I traced the wire back into the car, but why has this been done? Iv got to take knee bar done and take a look at back on fusebox  and see if it's connected properly etc, could this be the reason for my stalling and bad running , also powerloss when putting your foot down it just jumps for a bit then dies ?


also like to add thepreviois  owner put the fuel pump and cooling fan on a switch inside the car so I guess he's had some problems and probably done what's stated above too,

also the car used to die when co mming to a stop

any helpguys  would be great , cheers 

isv? so is it a 16v?  the feed was probably just to bodge around an issue with the wiring/controller which killed power to the isv
