Can anyone recommend a tool for removing the large and small circular pins from a CE1 fusebox plug?

Hi Sam,

Depending on how much work you plan to do on the loom there are low cost options to mega expensive kits with all sorts of tools to cover all vehicles.

When I did my G60 loom I renewed all of the connectors and had to merge with the CE1 fuse box so bought a kit from laser.

Alternatively you could get a multi tool like this which covers the ce1 connectors:
PoleVolt Ltd. Terminal removal tool. 2 Items

Thanks everyone.

The laser and schwaben tools seem expensive at £80+

rubjonny - I'm guessing that's for the small pins? Any suggestions for the large ones?

yup thats the small pin tool.

large ones are easy, small screw driver or a small pick tool down the front either side to lever the 2 tabs in, then they fall out :)

Resurrecting the old thread, rather then making a new one.

Do you also happen to know the PNs for the small and large pins maybe? I believe they're made by TE/AMP but I'm struggling to find the exact ones.
VAG PN are 000979108e and 000979110e for the small and large one respectively…

Considering to re-pin some/most/all of the CE1 connectors as to get rid of the need for shaking/wiggling them from time to time.

Cheerio

be humble. sit down
