1993 Cabby, Does it have an electric fuel Pump?

Post

Hi,

I have a 93 cabby with an EX 1.8 8v engine running a weber carb.
Its suffering from fuel starvation, should there be an electric fuel pump in the tank??

I've seen the mechanicle one on the front of the block, surely that's not enough to draw fuel through?

I wonder if the relay has bust, I cant seem to find a fuse box diagram for my specific car.
Does anyone know what number relay it is if it has one?

Massive thanks
James

No electric fuel pump just the one stuck to the front of the engine. It sound like you have the old problem when you stick a Webber carb on you some times have to restrict the fuel return pipe as I guess to much fuel is retired to the fuel tank instead of going into the carb, I've heard of some people putting a welding tip in the return line to help.

Ill try and find the posts.
