Workshop manual

Possibly asking in the wrong section, but trying to see if anyone knows where I can download a workshop manual for a 1990 Mk1 cabrio GTi?

Welcome to the Club Leo if I've not said it before!  

Not sure I've heard of a Workshop Manual to download or on line come to that.
Parts catalogues yes which are very useful.

I'm not sure I'd want to work with say a laptop outside, filthy dirty hands trying to read how to do this and that.
Printing it off of course would work but still a pain if you have to refer to a different section.

For my 1990 which has the Digifant II fuel system I use the big red Bentley workshop manual.
There not cheap, some people prefer it and some don't!

But if you do find one let us know as it would be useful winter reading at home!

there is a pdf copy of the mk1 bentley manual, it covers most of what you need but its specifically for US cars which means uk injection systems and carb engines are not covered

the manual mark posted is awesome and well worth getting, it only goes up to 85 but thats late enough to cover just about everything for the 90 cabrio. if yours has a digifant engine the mk2 haynes has all the info you need for that, or you can just use my digifant tuning guide on the various forums.  im not sure if the book covers the clipper kit, but its just bolted/screwd/clipped/riveted on so nothign to worry about really
