WIndscreen drain question?

Post

Took my windscreen out the other day, and repaired a few holes.

However the one question I had was…….      Does the Scuttle panel have a drain hole in the centre under the windscreen rubber and does any one have a picture of it?

I should of taken a picture of it, but had to get the windscreen back in due to the weather.   I just want to make sure I return it to the correct size and shape due to the rust around it,  if it exists in the first place,

Thanks in advance

Could you please explain why you're asking, what the issue is?

Oh and I don't know either because when mine was removed I wasn't there to see it but maybe another member will understand!

As above I removed my screen and repaired a few holes. However as I had as lot of rust around the centre hole under the rubber, I had to guess what size and shape it was and if it originally had one.

So, I just wanted a picture of the flange of the scuttle panel that the rubber sits in (bottom centre),  to check what needs to be rebuilt there.

Ive done a good search, but can't find any decent pictures.

Don't have any pictures and its been a few years since ive seen under a rubber, but I don't think there is a drain hole under there. Best wait for confirmation though.

I was thinking the same but didn't want to put my big foot in it!   ;)

I welded and sealed the other holes I found, but this one was dead centre and looked to have straight sides as if it was pre formed.
It was badly corroded and I made a clean repair and left a hole in it.

If anyone can 100% confirm if a drain hole is normally there or not that would be great.

If not the screen and the welder will be out again.

I took this picture for another thread…

Here's the area with the hole magnified a little…
