What's the color f my white 1982 Tin top called?

I need to respray parts of my 82 Mk1. It's white, but I haven't been able to find out what the color is called or what the code is. I imagine there would have been only one white in the VW color program in 1982. Does anybody know what it was called? 

Alpine White P1 .  Been around for ages, listed at least as far back as 1980 in the brochures I have , right through to an 87 cabby brochure - probably went on even longer.

I was told it was L90E

P1 is in all the mk1 brochures but when you google codes many come up with L90e/P1, plus found this on Club Gti which may relate to Mk2 and later,
