Tackling the rust around my sunroof what product

Going to start sanding the roof down, but when I get to bare metal, what's the best thing to put on to prevent new and to combat any old rust ?, should be going to body shop in the new year so I can put my carbon/ fibreglass roof on but want to protect the car before it gets any worse.

Any help appreciated

You kinda need a rust killer then a paint to help prevent more
