Refitting seals

Hi there people! I bought some used but mint door perimeter seals for my cabriolet... When fitting my new ones do you use any type of sealant or anything on the top bit from the knuckle? The part that is split in two parts that is

I'm sure if it's the ones that go on the door up the and around the quarter light they are glued. Get some high temp contact glue.

Others have a T shaped plug that goes through the seal into holes in the door.
