Can I get new ones?
Hello.
Does anyone know if I can get some new trims for Goly, my 5dr Mk1? They are the thin black plastic ones that are stuck to the front of the rear wheel arches, inside the vehicle just to the sides of the rear seats. The ones that seem to be stuck down with the worlds strongest, tackiest glue in world. The ones that no amount of gentle persuasion, heat or soaking will help you remove without splitting or cracking them!
I will try and get some pictures if you need some?
Has anyone ever fitted some new ones, can I repair the old ones or is there a different solution to my problem?
I hope someone can help me?
Cheers
Britney!

I was looking a while back for some but couldn't find any I'm thinking of covering mine with vinyl or something similar. The trouble is finding something that is plyible enough

I think somone with a vacformer could recreate some with the right material and a decent mould, I think funkstar was talking about remaking some things with a vacformer so might be worth suggesting it to him?

Cheers guys I did think about some sort of vinyl that looked quite similar to the original item. I will ask Funkstar when I get 5 mins because I need a few bits from him anyway!
Thanks to the people who help run the site for putting this thread in the right section! Sorry about that

No, he means the ones inside the car either side of the back seat base, they cover the wheel arch.
I guess hens teeth will be easier to find.

Thanks for the link Chay, but it is the ones inside the car I'm after.
No problem Mazza! Hopefully I will find a way to sort it.
Does anyone know if the Citi golf has the same trims?

I would guess the Citi Golf do.
I've got them in my cabriolet and they when upto 1992 so might widen your search.
